Arkanna's musical journey is intricately woven with threads of personal growth. Hailing from the breath taking landscapes of Scotland and raised in a working-class musical family, Arkanna grew up with the sounds of folk, reggae, pop, rock, soul and everything in between.  The late '80s and early '90s marked an explosive era where dance music ignited a cultural revolution, shaping her taste in music as a teenager, fostering an enduring love for electronic music.  

Arkanna's desire to expand and develop her music from the acoustic songs she had written to a more electronic sound inspired her to learn music production, enabling her to weave together her musical influences and create something unique.

"Against the backdrop of my upbringing and life experiences, my musical journey took on deeper dimensions becoming not only a form of self-expression but a therapeutic conduit for healing and navigating life's complexities. 

I found healing in the realms of mysticism, with the teachings of tarot influencing my creative process. Drawing knowledge from the archetypes and symbolism, my music is an expression of that introspection and emotional exploration." 

Following numerous individual releases and remixes by artists such as Kaya Project, Arkanna's voice is also showcased in albums from Kick Bong and Side Liner both under the Greek Downtempo and Psychill label, Cosmicleaf Records. In February 2023, she unveiled her inaugural EP entitled "Hermetic Light," skillfully mastered by Psy/Breaks pioneer Hedflux (Luminus Music).
